Facebook Login Error Troubleshooting

If your account freezes up when you are trying to create it. There is a fatal error with your Facebook account that will probably not be fixable.

The best solution is to start over and create an account with your email address instead. You may need to use a different email address than the one associated with your Facebook account.

If this has happened to you, and you have paid for a Gold membership, you should request a refund by typing “refund” into the chat. Your Gold membership will not carry over when you create a new account.

The person isn’t you

If you can log in with Facebook but the person isn’t you, there’s a fatal error with your Facebook account. Your account has not actually been hacked, even though it may appear that way.

Most unfortunately, because this is a software bug in your Facebook account, we can’t fix it for you. It’s a fatal error and is impossible to resolve in most cases.

The best solution is to delete your account and create a new one with your email address. Depending on the error you are getting, you may need to use a different email address than the one associated with your Facebook account.

You can still connect Facebook down the road if you want to import your photos.
